DCVG (Direct Current Voltage Gradient) Survey, carried out by BOTAŞ International (BIL) in collaboration with our clients to protect the structural integrity of the BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan) crude oil pipeline and to ensure long-term operational safety, has been successfully completed.
Within the scope of this technical study:
- The effectiveness of the cathodic protection system was analyzed in detail through field measurements.
- Damages and protection deficiencies that may occur in the underground pipeline coating were detected and recorded using the sensitive DCVG method.
- The identified points were reported to be prioritized in maintenance and repair planning.
The DCVG method provides the opportunity to analyze the coating condition of underground pipelines with millivolt level precision, playing a critical role in both evaluating the performance of the existing system and predicting potential risks.
This successful implementation once again demonstrated both the technical capacity of our clients and BIL's commitment to infrastructure security.
